I will personally be leading this workshop, and I have got to say that this is an amazing class, one of my personal favorites to lead. There is just nothing else that compares to spending a whole weekend careful crafting a highly functional and practical work of art out of a single piece of wood. The process of slowly and carefully working the wood develops a special quality of patience and focus that is more like a meditation, and a welcome reprieve from today's busy world.
The look of joy, deep satisfaction, and astonishment on participants faces at the end of the weekend is priceless. As well, making wooden bows is something that humans have been doing for thousands and thousands of years. The process brings us back to a much simpler and more connected part of ourselves, nourishing something ancient within.
The workshop is open to adults, as well as teens 15 years old and older who are personally excited and motivated to take on the bow making process.
Remember, not only do you get to spend an exciting weekend with a passionate group of companions and mentors, you also get to leave with your very own hand made wooden bow, capable of slinging arrows well over 100 feet per second!
