Job Opening - Summer Camp Program Director
We are hiring!
We're looking for passionate and creative leaders to guide and direct our deep nature connection mentoring Summer Camps in the role of Program Director.
We are seeking Program Directors who can work full-time for three or more of our week-long 100% outdoors summer camps from June 8 - August 16, 2025. Our camps take place in Sandpoint, ID, Coeur d’Alene, ID, Spokane, WA and Bozeman, MT. If you’re not available for at least three weeks, let us know as we may still be able to fit you in.
Program Directors are responsible for the overall vision, mentoring, leadership, implementation, support, and safety of each camp of up to 35 youth and up to 10 staff. Program Directors take direction from TEWS co-Directors to ensure that each camp has everything it needs to function well. They supervise and guide the staff’s growth with clear communication and regular feedback and communicate with parents with grace and ease. Program Directors’ awareness and embodied knowledge of TEWS mentoring approach, curriculum, culture, policies, and values empower the whole camp to prosper and thrive.
This is a strong leadership role that is intimately involved with all aspects of our camps including design, planning, transporting gear, instruction, mentoring campers, training teen MITs (Mentors-In-Training) & and adult instructors, debrief, overseeing camper progress, caretaking the land, and some administrative tasks before and after camps happen.
